With an aim to promoting cultural exchanges between Australiana and China and promoting the teaching of Chinese language in NSW, the Australian Chinese Language Schools Association and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province will host a 2012 Sydney Chinese Culture Camp from 23th to 30th September in Ashfield Boys High School, Ashfield. This program will enrich the holiday life of students in the Sydney area by providing opportunity for school students to participate in interesting activities and experience various forms of Chinese culture. When participating in the program, students of various cultural backgrounds will have a chance to spend their holiday together and share their good willing with one another.
The eight-day program, conducted in Ashfield Boys High School, will include: dancing (modern and traditional folk dances), Martial Arts (Tai Ji and North China Style), Calligraphy and Ink Painting, Traditional Crafts (paper cutting, Chinese Happy Knotting, and Dough Miniature Sculpture), Speed Calculation (Quick Maths), Chinese Drums and Percussion Band. In addition, the Program will also offer a 6-session seminar in the Teaching of Chinese Language. This will be conducted daily from 10:00 to 12:30.

１. The participants will be grouped into 6 classes in accordance to their age and ability. Each class will enrol about 20-25 students. In there is vacancies, parents are welcome to join in.
２. Ashfield Boys High School is located along Liverpool Rd. School parking area is accessible through the driveway into parking area of the New Wests Leagues Club (117 Liverpool Rd, Corner of Liverpool Rd & Elizabeth Ave). Parking is also available along the streets and roads around the school.
３. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or order a Chinese lunchbox from a local Chinese restaurant. The Program organizers will take individual order daily before 11:00am. There are eight choices for the lunch box and each costs $5.
４. Each participant is required to pay $20 just registration and material fee. For those who only participate part of the program, the daily registration and material fee is $5. There is no other cost for the program. We encourage all participants to attend the whole Program, from Day 1 to Day 8. Those who are able to do so, will be issued a set of uniform for this Camp Program and will have a chance to participate in a raffle that will be announce at the final Concert on the evening of 30th September.
